What's good, murderfuckers!!! I wanted to give an update on the roadmap for the game, now that Act 1 has been released in Alpha for a little bit!

I'm hoping to branch Act 1 into two versions, once it's 99% debugged, as in the original roadmap:

• one PWYW (Pay What You Want)/free (which is the version we're on now!), which will always be free, as promised!
• one full-nudity paid option, where the ****only**** difference is more/extra NSFW artwork for character art/sprites (multi-stage cumshots with different dick layers! think of the possibilities!). I'm thinking somewhere around $6.69 (lmao, lol, nice, etc etc etc) for this version. What do you think, y'all?

Updates will be free always for both of them + they'll get the same content! Except, obviously, the $6.69 version contains explicit character art. ;)

Another idea I had (since basically I work on SU one day per week (not counting weekends) for about 8-14 hours per day (shh, I have a tooootally healthy relationship with work, shhhhh)), INSTEAD of offering two versions, I was tossing around the idea of running a Kickstarter to help me stay alive/eat food/keep working on SU since, er, I'm the only guy working on it and I put out a new build every week and all! My day job is working in comics, which, er, yeah, if you haven't checked out #ComicsBrokeMe yet, what's good :')

I'm estimating another year to year and a half til TOTAL completion on this schedule (Acts 2 & 3 - which means full game around summer/fall 2024), so it'd be reeeeeeAAAAllly cool to keep chugging along at this pace!

ACT 1 FINAL/COMPLETE:

As for rocketing towards being feature-complete for the ACT 1 full launch, I'm looking at:

• Finishing up the post-Prom content at the very end, to bookend the world while Acts 2 & 3 are being completed
• Full nudity unlocks for each romance for Version 2
• A couple extra Quality of Life tweaks as I go, like extra partner dialogue for Sawyer, tying up Act 1 loose ends like a few more room custom options, a slight delay on text responses, cleaning up some of the overlaps and choice boxes, etc
• [REACH GOAL] Date Nights: Little mini walk-around dates you can have with your romance partner where they'll be able to react & interact with stuff around campus
• [REACH GOAL] The second fanvote character romance! If they don't make it into Act 1, they'll for SURE make it into the Full Game (and I'll be continuously running that poll for potential future romance content! <3 )
• [REACH GOAL] Road to Town: Fleshing out that one path you can't go down with a Town, with little shoppes for the future Outfit unlocks, as well as places for buying phone cases, a tattoo parlor, and other buyable cosmetic items. If this doesn't make it into Act 1, it'll be in Act 2!

FULL GAME FINAL/COMPLETE

The full game (ACTS 1, 2, & 3) will have:

• Complete Main Quest storyline
• Completed storylines with branching endings for each main character's Personal storyline:
  • Laila: The Final Girl Ball storyline
  • Tate: You know what it is! Time to deal with Tate's past/demons, literally!
  • Hex: Help him NOT fail out of school and find what he actually loves in life, before his dads show up for graduation!
  • Juno: Continuation of Juno's dead mom storyline! Exclamation point!
  • Sawyer: Build a romance with Sawyer while navigating the complex world of criminal justice law!
• Each Act will have one major-MAJOR setpiece (like Prom). Act 2 has FIVE major setpieces - dependent on your choice of romance (which means you can, indeed, potentially do all 5 in one run, if your partner(s) don't fucking kill you)!
• Plenty of sidequests (like the ability to finish the BDSM Room / Speakeasy Room quest and open your own speakeasy or dungeon)
  
• Additional features I'd intended to wrap into Act 1, like walkaround dates; the Reach Goals that didn't make it into Act 1
• Considering like $14.99 tentatively for the FULL game (Acts 1 thru 3) (since it'd be $6.69 suggested dono for each act, so $14.99 total seems fair) but it's vvvvvvvery far off so this might change!

One day, if things go REALLY well, a super-stretch goal I'd like to do is a commissioned score/music (I do the sound/SFX myself but the music is currently hammered together from public domain). If things go REALLY REALLY REALLY well, I'd love to include actual voice acting! There's a HELL OF A LOT OF FUCKIN LINES in this thing though so it'd be very much a reach goal.

The game will be bundled as Act 1, then Act 1 & 2 together, then the full game as Acts 1 thru 3. Plus, you SHOULD be able to import your save files to the final game, as it updates! I'm also tinkering with an old-school Mass Effect Face Gen-style code for your important story flags, memories, & char creation options you can import, if Slasher U ever gets a sequel ;)

I *do* want to make sure everyone who's been here since the start gets to actually, y'know, play the whole fuckin' game, so I'm open to any ideas you murderfuckers have re: pricing and splits!

I ALSO wanted to take this time to thank you all SO FUCKING MUCH for sharing the world of Slasher U with me!!!! It makes me genuinely so fucking happy to make and share this weird spooky horny little world with its weird scary horny little characters and that fact that it means as much to you guys as it does to me is FUCKING NUTS. I wrote this game/world to get lost in because I was a sad lonely goth idiot and now here we all are, less sad and less lonely but still goth (optional) and stupid (also optional), I hope. Love you murderfuckers :')
