When I was designing the makeout/hookup meters for SLASHER U, I wanted each one to represent how each character felt ~*~*~on the inside~*~*~ rather than just be another reflection of their whole aesthetic vibe, cuz sex is better when you're cutting to the core of what makes you human! Or monster, in some cases. This is SLASHER U, after all.

From Left to Right: Regular, Laila, Hex, Juno, Tate

Basic: Heart, themometer, horny meter, what's not to love? I wanted something basic/obvious to riff off for the other designs, PLUS I wanted it to be a nice surprise when you finally DO hook up with your preferred cutie(s)!

Laila: Laila's meter gets progressively more metal/brutal-looking as you unlock her hornier side! I wanted her meter to REALLY rep how she tops, so there's a lot of brutal cockteasing/insert-yer-genitals-here-teasing aesthetics like all the locks and chastity cage vibes. I ALSO wanted her meter to be the most unnerving, to kinda match with her sweet-on-the-outside(appearance)-salty-on-the-inside(personality) self.

Hex: I feel like this one is the most on-the-nose, LOL. Hex is a pretty pretty pretty good boy and I love him and he deserves to be tied up and given flowers. At the same time. My fave part of the Hex meter is how it gets progressively more girly the more you get to know him, because he's my special pretty boy, yes he is.

Juno: I wanted Juno's meter to have major Brochella/party kid vibes, like full on I Did Too Much Molly In the 2010's vibes. The smiley face and bandaid remind me of my own music festival days, the confetti's probably the most dynamic of the meters, and the meter has a rainbow fill! I wanted Juno's meter to reflect their hella fun personality, since sex for them is more about good times and less about Deep Shit like the others.

Tate: I wanted his to have a super-gothy, y2k emo, Fueled by Ramen aesthetic that also harkens a little to his backstory. Doing demon/blood red would've been too on the nose, so I picked an emo-kid purple that's real saturated that reminds me of his personality. The scars on the heart are (don't kill me) scars on HIS heart, cause I'm a literal bitch. The wings are a little nod to his whole Second Passenger thing, while kinda also having a batty/Meg from Hades type vibe. (Tate would SO be a Meg guy.)
